Critiques
The background colours certainly set off the main subject.
Lighting: A bit on the bright side for me. The whites in the moth/butterfly appear burned out with loss of detail, the same with the flower,
Composition: The overall intent here is great, I love the Depth of field (though I have been told never to blurr the foreground) I still like it here. I feel there would have been a greater impact if you either.. (a) cut the flower off more drastically or (b) made sure the whole petal was in the photo. Snipping a tip of a petal make is appear as error and not intent.
The one tall dark stem in the background is distacting here also. It pulls my eyes away from the butterfly. The second, farther back one isn't as bad, but imagine how beautiful it would be if you could clone that out of there.
As for the frame... If you feel you must frame a photo, I think the frame colour should coordinate with the image. The white frame is distracting and drains colour from the image.
In conclusion, This is a very good image and one to be proud of most certainly. Thank you for sharing your lovely artwork.
